Tel Aviv [Israel], March 7 (HBTV): Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai has announced an initiative to gradually reduce the presence of smartphones in schools, with the goal of their complete removal from educational institutions starting in September 2025.

The initiative, titled Gaining Attention, was introduced by Huldai at a school principals' conference. It aims to limit smartphone use in schools until their full removal.

‘We won’t let technology control us—we are removing smartphones from schools,’ Huldai said. (ANI/TPS)
