Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 24 (HBTV): A pall of gloom has descended on the Nathaniel household in Indore as the mortal remains of Sushil Nathaniel were taken for the last rites.
A resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Sushil Nathaniel, who worked as a branch manager for LIC, was killed, and his daughter Akanksha sustained bullet injuries. Nathaniel had gone to Jammu and Kashmir on April 19 with his wife, son, and daughter.
Jema Vikas, wife of Sushil’s brother Vikas, told ANI they received news of the attack on Tuesday night around 9:30 pm, when Sushil’s son, Ostin, called them.
‘The terrorist asked Sushil bhaiya to recite Kalma on his knees. Bhaiya said he was Christian, and the terrorist then told Bhabhi to move aside. In the meantime, the terrorist shot Bhaiya, and he died on the spot. Our niece Akanksha also sustained bullet injuries in her leg,’ Jema Vikas said.
In Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai cut short his Mumbai visit with textile and steel industry leaders to attend the last rites of Dinesh Miraniya, one of the 26 victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Vinod Agarwal, a relative of Miraniya, condemned the attack as ‘an attack on Hindutva.’ ‘People were killed after stating their names. Congress has always done politics… this is not a matter of politics,’ he told ANI.
CM Sai said he returned early from Mumbai to attend the last rites of Miraniya. ‘India will give a befitting reply to Pakistan. This time too India will teach a lesson to Pakistan,’ he said during a press conference after landing in Raipur.
Since the attack, India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty, closed the Wagah-Attari border, and declared certain Pakistani High Commission officers persona non grata. (ANI)
