The Border Security Force of the Meghalaya Frontier troops celebrated Diwali on October 31 with enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Shillong (Meghalaya) [India], November 1 (HBTV): The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier troops celebrated Diwali on October 31 with enthusiasm and camaraderie.

ID Singh, DIG (PSO) of Frontier BSF Meghalaya, along with Sector DIGs and Commandants of various units, marked the festival with BSF troops stationed at the international border. The event underscored the unwavering dedication and sacrifices of BSF personnel who remain on duty during the festive season to safeguard the nation, according to a BSF Meghalaya release.

BSF commanders spent time with the troops, offering heartfelt Diwali greetings and commending their steadfast commitment to their mission. They extended warm wishes for peace, prosperity, and strength, acknowledging the unique challenges faced by border personnel who vigilantly protect the country day and night.

"The dedication of BSF troops exemplifies their strength, resilience, and patriotism. We are deeply proud of each individual who protects our borders with unyielding commitment," the release stated.

This Diwali gathering reflects the BSF's ongoing commitment to supporting its personnel and honoring the sacrifices made by those serving on the front lines. The celebrations highlight the spirit of solidarity and respect for the men and women who guard the nation’s borders.
