Secunderabad (Telangana) [India], November 30 (HBTV): On the fourth day of the 14th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2024, held at the South Central Railways Sports Complex in Secunderabad, Telangana, teams from Hockey Chandigarh, Hockey Mizoram, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, and Hockey Haryana secured victories in their respective matches, according to a release from Hockey India.
The day's action began with a close Pool E match where Hockey Chandigarh edged out Kerala Hockey 3-2. Dipanjali Tirkey (42') and Parameswari Pinapothula (48') scored for Kerala, while Simran (44') and Annu (56') responded for Hockey Chandigarh. Tamanna sealed the win for Chandigarh with a decisive goal in the 60th minute.
In another Pool E match, Hockey Mizoram showcased dominance with an 11-0 victory over Hockey Arunachal. Captain Laltlanchhungi led the charge with four goals (18', 30', 44', 55'), supported by Vanlalrinhlui (1', 52', 58'), C Lalruatsiami (10'), Manglawmsang (19'), Lalthakimi (26'), and Laldinpuii (42').
Pool F featured a goalless draw between Hockey Delhi and Hockey Bihar, with both teams sharing points after a hard-fought match.
In Pool H, Hockey Madhya Pradesh defeated Hockey Andhra Pradesh with a commanding 11-1 scoreline. For MP, Parmar Ronak (4', 60'), Tanvi (12', 19'), Sailu Pukhrambam (15', 34'), and Captain Krishna Sharma (30', 53') scored braces, while Gungun Kaur (13'), Bhabar Keshar (39'), and Rubi Rathore (43') also contributed. Andhra Pradesh’s Captain Kuppa Tulasi (22') scored her team's lone goal.
Hockey Haryana triumphed in Pool A, overwhelming Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey with a 9-1 victory. Captain Supriya (4', 13'), Anjani (20', 22'), and Diya (34', 48') scored two goals each, with Diksha (26'), Manjinder (51'), and Seema (53') adding to the tally. Rashi Singh (30') managed to score a consolation goal for Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey.
In Pool G, Hockey Maharashtra and Hockey Punjab played out an exciting 2-2 draw. Sanna (12') and Maskeenpreet Kaur (48') scored for Punjab, while Maharashtra equalized through goals from Gunjan Baviskar (29') and Anvi Rawat (49').
