Agartala (Assam) [India] August 15 (HBTV): On the occasion of Independence Day, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha hoisted the national flag at his residence in Agartala Tripura on Thursday. 

Manik Saha remembered the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. 

Saha said, "We celebrated the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the state... We remembered and honoured all those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of the country".

Saha also congratulated the Police and Home Guard personnel from Tripura, who received the President's Medal for Meritorious Service. He congratulated the personnel in a Facebook post.
