Saha instructed district magistrates and superintendents of police across districts to conduct regular monthly visits to their areas, take swift action in case of deficiencies, and address grievances.

Agartala (Tripura) [India], April 17 (HBTV): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday instructed District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police across all districts to conduct regular monthly visits to their respective areas, take swift action in case of deficiencies, and address public grievances, according to an official release.

‘The District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of each district should visit the areas regularly every month along with district-level officers of other departments and take initiatives to resolve the problems of the people,’ said CM Saha.

The Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio, directed officials to remain alert, act promptly on arising issues, and ensure effective grievance redressal.

Chairing a video conference from the Secretariat, CM Saha conducted a detailed review of the state’s overall development, law and order situation, and public grievance mechanisms with DMs and SPs from all eight districts.

He provided specific instructions to the district administration for resolving development-related issues and addressing citizen complaints efficiently. The Chief Minister also stressed the need for stringent legal action against drug traffickers and those involved in narcotics-related offences.

He instructed Superintendents of Police to identify drug-prone areas, prepare detailed lists of individuals engaged in illegal activities within each police station’s jurisdiction, and take legal action accordingly.

Key topics discussed during the review included health, drinking water, education, law and order, roads, anti-drug strategies, and curbing illegal activities across various sectors.

CM Saha further emphasised that relevant departments should implement immediate measures to ensure drinking water supply, regulate traffic, and control mosquito breeding in Agartala city. (ANI)
