Guwahati, Assam, January 2 (HBTV): A water supply pipe burst in Guwahati's Kharghuli area, flooding the road in knee-deep water.

This incident marks a repeat of a water pipeline bursting in the same area in May 2023, which caused significant damage.

According to locals, the incident occurred on Thursday morning. Houses were reportedly damaged due to broken water pipe.

Residents have expressed frustration at the recurring breakage and have urged the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to address the problem and prevent future mishaps.

Officials and firefighters reached the site and controlled the leakage.
