Nongpoh, Meghalaya, June 14 (HBTV): Two persons have died following a road accident at around 1:00 AM along National Highway-6 on June 13 in Meghalaya. The car reportedly had three occupants. 

The vehicle reportedly collided with a center divider and overturned. The accident is believed to have been caused by over-speeding and rash driving.    

The driver and two passengers sustained injuries and were taken to the Civil Hospital of Nongpoh by members of the public before the police arrived. One was reportedly found unconscious at the scene and was also transported to the Civil Hospital by a police unit. Two of the individuals reportedly succumbed to injuries. 

The vehicle that met with the accident has been brought to the police branch for further investigation.
