PM Modi to attend Assam Investor and Infrastructure Summit in February

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Assam Investor and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati in February next year.

New Delhi [India], December 2 (HBTV): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Assam Investor and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati in February next year. The announcement came after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma invited PM Modi to attend the summit, which will be held on February 24 and 25, 2025. Along with the summit, the Prime Minister has been invited to be the chief guest at the mega Jhumur performance.

During a 25-minute meeting with the Prime Minister in Parliament, CM Sarma briefed him on several developmental initiatives in Assam and sought his guidance on various issues. The Prime Minister agreed to attend both events.

CM Sarma later shared the update on X (formerly Twitter), writing: "Today in New Delhi, I had the privilege to receive Adarniya Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji's guidance on various developmental issues. On behalf of the people of Assam, I also had the pleasure to invite him to bless the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit and Mega Jhumur performance in February 2025 which he has kindly accepted to grace."

Earlier in the day, CM Sarma met Union Minister of Jal Shakti C R Paatil to discuss the roadmap for the Har Ghar Jal project. He noted that Assam has already achieved over 80% of its tap water connection target and continues to implement the Prime Minister's vision for the initiative.
