Shillong, Meghalaya, July 13 (HBTV): Union Minister for Development of North East Region Jyotiraditya Scindia, on Saturday said that the Centre will ask all the eight NE states to do a social audit of all the Development of North East Region (DONER) projects implemented in the states.    

Speaking to media persons in Shillong, the Union minister said the ministry will not only look at utilisation and completion certificates for projects but will also make sure that all the eight states of the North East region do a social audit.              

Scindia stated the importance of looking at outcome instead of just the outlay. The minister said it's necessary to not just look at the process, but also at the outcome.      

The Union minister said the aim is to reach a common goal of development and progress as enshrined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his insistence to ensure that prosperity means a prosperous Northeast.   

Scindia said his attempt is to bring a new dimension to partnership with all the northeastern states.
