Nagaon (Assam) [India], November 23 (HBTV): Four people, including three members of the same family, were killed in a brutal attack in the Gorajan area of Nagaon's Laokhowa region on Friday night, police reported. The incident took place under the Rupahi assembly constituency.

According to officials, the victims were attacked with sharp weapons by unidentified miscreants. A police team promptly arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation into the gruesome crime.

Confirming the victims' identities, locals revealed that three belonged to the same family. Swapnaneel Deka, the Superintendent of Police for Nagaon district, assured that the case is being rigorously probed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Congress MLA Nurul Huda, representing the Rupahihat constituency, expressed shock over the killings. Speaking from Bengaluru, where he is undergoing medical treatment, Huda said, ‘I have been informed about this shocking incident. The police have already started their investigation, and the culprits will face justice soon.’

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover the motive and identity of the attackers.
