Five cadres of proscribed KCP-N involved in kidnapping activities arrested

state and central forces rescued an individual on Monday and arrested five cadres of proscribed outfit Kangleipak Communist Party-Nongdrenkhomba involved in the kidnapping.

Imphal, Manipur, July 16 (HBTV): A combined team of state and central security forces rescued an individual on Monday, and  leading to the arrest of five cadres of proscribed outfit Kangleipak Communist Party-Nongdrenkhomba (KCP-N) involved in the kidnapping from Thoubal district. 

The team launched a joint operation during which the five cadres of the KCP-N were arrested from Khongjom Tekcham Makha under Khongjom Police Station.

The arrested cadres have been identified as one 23-year-old Konsam Rohit Singh, a 24-year-old Yanglem Bikash Meitei; one 27-year-old Thangjam Chanba Singh; a 37-year-old Moirangthem Anand Singh; and a 28-year-old Keisham Nelson Singh.

The team seized four 9mm pistols with 10 live rounds, eight live rounds of ammunitions; a 12-Bore Live round, a four-wheeled vehicle, and seven mobile phones from their possession.

The arrested cadres and the seized items have been handed over to Khongjom Police Station. A case has been registered for legal action, a police report stated.
