Imphal, Manipur, March 20 (HBTV): Curfew partially lifted in Manipur’s Churachandpur district after inter-tribal clash broke out and situation become vulnerable.  The order by District Magistrate Dharun Kumar S said the curfew will be relaxed for 7am to 4:30 pm on Thursday.

The order for curfew relaxation was given to facilitate the public particularly those of Churachandpur town areas for them to avail essential items and services.

The relaxation will not apply to sensitive areas such as Kangvai, Samulamlan, and Sangaikot sub-division of the district.

Police and security agencies conducted a flag march and actions were reported to have been taken against curfew violators who created trouble.

Meanwhile, different civil society organisations, church leaders, and other stakeholders are repeatedly making appeals for peace and tranquility in the district.
