Guwahati, Assam, December 10 (HBTV): A ward boy of Metro Hospital in Guwahati was arrested allegedly for sexually assaulting a minor patient admitted at the hospital.

The ward boy has been identified as one Jadav Nath.

According to reports, he sexually assaulted the minor patient who was brought to the private hospital for treatment.

In response, the hospital management has fired him and filed a case at Basistha police station.

‘Yesterday, we received a complaint from a minor girl who is admitted at our hospital that a ward boy had inappropriately touched her. We immediately fired him from his service and filed an FIR at police station against the ward boy. Earlier, we have not got any complaint against him,’ said a doctor of Metro Hospital.

‘About 500 employees work here. It is very difficult to know who lives in which mind. We ensure that such incidents do not happen in our hospital in the coming days.’

The police have started investigations into the case.
