Guwahati, Nov, 20 (HBTV): The All Assam Student Union (AASU) on Wednesday held staged a protest across of Assam in district Headquarters against the increase in prices of food items, fuel products and all other commodities and demanded reduction in the prices.

Apart from the All Guwahati Mahanagar Student Union staged protest rally held in Swahid Bhawan, Guwahati' Uzan bazar on today against the increase in prices of essential commodities and demanded reduction in the prices.

The protestors while holding placards and raising slogans demanded that the government should take immediate steps to control the prices.

AASU leader Tutumani Saikia said that "On the call of All Assam Students Union, protests are being held at district headquarters across the state today against uncontrolled price rise and failure of the Food and Supplies Department Minister to control price rise.

Also he said, if the government does not control the price rise, their protest will continue.

Earlier, also AASU has protested against the rise in prices of essential commodities in various parts of the state.
