Royal scion of Tripura and the founder of the Tipra Motha Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Wednesday said the talks on the Tiprasa accord are moving toward an advanced stage.

Agartala, Tripura, September 11 (HBTV): Royal scion of Tripura and the founder of the Tipra Motha Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Wednesday said the talks on the Tiprasa accord are moving toward an advanced stage.

He was commenting on the recent peace accord signed by the government with National Liberation Front of Tripura and All Tripura Tiger Force. He said that after 1988, no agreement was signed between the government of India for addressing pressing issues faced by the indigenous population of Tripura.

However, three agreements have been signed, he said. Recently, the NLFT and the ATTF laid down their arms for which talks on the Tiprasa accord are moving towards an advanced stage. He said all this happened because he didn't budge before any kind of pressure and sabotage and stayed on his path which brought a rich dividend.

Speaking at the felicitation event for newly elected female Panchayat members of the recently held Panchayat elections, Debbarman said some people have been abusing him in private conversations. These people will never be promoted in the future, he said.

"Those who want to serve the people with honesty and integrity will always be promoted in the party,” he said.
