Nongpoh, Meghalaya, March 11 (HBTV): A motor accident occurred today at around 12:30 PM near the Toll Gate at Pahammawlein in Meghalaya. A bike rider was killed on the spot after being run over by a 16-wheeler truck.

Both the Biker and the truck were traveling along the route from Guwahati to Shillong. Just before reaching the Toll Gate, the bike, which was moving from the VIP lane was hit by the truck coming from the toll payment lane.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck first ran over the biker with its front wheels, trapping the rider under the middle wheels of the 16-wheeler truck, leading to the fatal accident.

Byrnihat Police Outpost personnel arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation. Authorities have taken custody of the deceased’s body and have seized the truck for further legal proceedings.
