Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 25 (HBTV): The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is committed to enhancing the spiritual and cultural experience of devotees at Mahakumbh 2025, with the introduction of the Nishadraj cruise as a centerpiece of the celebrations.
The cruise, managed by the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), has begun its journey from Varanasi to Prayagraj and is equipped with modern amenities, symbolizing the state’s dedication to innovation. Preparations are underway to ensure a majestic and memorable Mahakumbh, with collaborative efforts between the Prayagraj Mela Authority and the Varanasi administration.
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit on December 13, special arrangements are being made. The Prime Minister will unveil statues of Lord Ram and Nishadraj at Shrungverpur Dham before boarding the Nishadraj cruise for a journey from Arail to the Sangam. At the Sangam, PM Modi will pay homage to the sacred Ganga River with a ritual bath and participate in a Ganga Aarti. He will also visit the Bade Hanuman Temple and the Akshayavat and interact with saints and spiritual leaders at the Parade Ground assembly site, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Additional Mela Officer Vivek Chaturvedi reported that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure the cruise's smooth passage. The Nishadraj cruise has reached Sitamarhi, en route to Prayagraj, and a second vessel has been deployed to assist its journey. With its modern amenities, the cruise promises to provide a memorable experience for visitors from India and abroad.
The Mahakumbh 2025 is poised to set new standards, highlighting the spiritual, cultural, and logistical excellence of the state.
