UP CM Yogi announces INR 2 lakh ex-gratia for deceased's kin and INR 50,000 for injured in Hardoi road mishap

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia payment of INR 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and INR 50,000 for the injured in the mishap in UP.

New Delhi [India], November 6 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia payment of INR 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and INR 50,000 for the injured in the mishap in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi. He also expressed grief over the incident.

"Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, Maharaj Ji has directed the District Administration, Hardoi, to immediately provide financial assistance of INR 2 lakh each to the families of each deceased and INR 50,000 to the seriously injured," the Yogi Adityanath Office posted on X in Hindi.

‘The loss of life in a road accident in the Hardoi district is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My condolences are with the bereaved families. District administration officials have been instructed to carry out relief operations expeditiously and provide proper treatment to the injured. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls at His feet and provide a speedy recovery to the injured,’ the chief minister posted on X.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced an ex-gratia payment of INR 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased and INR 50,000 for the injured.

"The road accident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, is heart-wrenching. Many families have lost their loved ones in this tragedy. I pray to God to give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow. Along with this, I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way," the PMO posted on X.

As many as ten people, including six women, died and four were injured in a collision between an auto and a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi on Wednesday, police said.

All the injured were hospitalized and are now out of danger, police added.

Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, Superintendent of Police, Hardoi, said, "Ten people, including six women, died in a collision between an auto and a truck. Four people were injured. They are out of danger, but they are being sent to the district hospital for better treatment."
