Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur on Wednesday morning to address public grievances.

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 12 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur on Wednesday morning to address public grievances.

During the programme, the Chief Minister listened to citizens' complaints and instructed officials to resolve their issues promptly. The Janata Darshan was conducted on the premises of the Gorakhnath Temple, where people shared their problems directly with the Chief Minister, who gave necessary directives for their swift and satisfactory resolution.

Since taking office in 2017, Adityanath has regularly conducted the Janata Darshan to address public concerns efficiently.

On Tuesday, CM Adityanath also distributed motorised tricycles to differently-abled persons in Gorakhpur. He visited an exhibition showcasing public welfare schemes of both the central and Uttar Pradesh governments, marking the completion of eight years of the BJP-led State government.

Addressing a special event commemorating the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the people of Uttar Pradesh.

‘Under the leadership of PM Modi, eight years of service, safety, and good governance have been completed. The double-engine government of UP has completed eight years. I thank 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh for their support,’ Adityanath said during a press conference.

Reflecting on the condition of the State under previous administrations, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh had faced an ‘identity crisis’ and that its infrastructure, economy, and law and order were in a ‘dire state’. He stated that the transformation visible today is the result of a change in governance.

Adityanath became Chief Minister in 2017 after the BJP, which contested the election without announcing a CM candidate, won 312 out of 403 seats. The party returned to power in the 2022 assembly polls, winning 255 seats, with its allies also performing strongly. This victory made Adityanath the first Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh’s history to serve two consecutive terms.
