Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 17 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday attended the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament held in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. While addressing the event, he explained how a legislature functions and detailed the procedure by which laws are passed in the House.
CM Adityanath stated that efforts began in 2019 to carry forward the resolution of the Yuva Sansad, with the objective of developing leadership qualities in every sphere of life. He added that over 240 students from across the state were participating in the event through various programs.
'Keeping in mind how to outline the future of youth, work has begun from 2019 to take forward this new resolution of Yuva Sansad with the objective of developing leadership qualities in every sphere of life. My Bharat Abhiyan, on which there has been constant discussion for the last two years, and 240 such youth from across the state who have participated in various competitions are today participating in this program in the largest legislature of any state in the country,' CM Yogi said.
He further highlighted that people’s representatives from diverse backgrounds and different regions come together in the legislature to put forward their views.
'People's representatives from different backgrounds of the country or people's representatives elected from different areas of the state put forward their views here. The policies that are made here, the laws that are made, and the policies that are discussed then go to the government, and the executive works to implement them,' he added.
The Chief Minister said that the Youth Parliament is being organised with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that youth are being prepared for the future of India and emphasised that the country is governed by democracy, with the legislature, executive, and judiciary playing complementary roles.
He stated that the aim of the Yuva MP initiative is not just to inspire youth to become leaders but also to motivate them to be role models in various fields, which he defined as true leadership.
CM Adityanath said that Prime Minister Modi has ensured the country functions according to the Constitution. He recalled that on 26 November 1949, Dr B.R. Ambedkar handed over the draft of the Constitution to the Constituent Assembly.
'There was a time when there was a trend in the country that our demands should be fulfilled, no matter what the compulsion is. All of them are fighting for existence. The Constitution gives us strength but also reminds us of our fundamental duty,' CM Yogi said.
'The Prime Minister has decided that in 2047, when the country will be celebrating 100 years of independence, India will be developed. PM had described it as five vows on the 75th Independence Day,' he added.
