According to an official release, the recruitment process has been completed for 120 posts of Workshop Staff and 1,374 posts of Assistant Operator, totaling 1,494 vacancies. The list of selected candidates is available on the board's official website.

In line with the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, advanced techniques were employed extensively to ensure a transparent and fair recruitment process. The Government of Uttar Pradesh, under CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, continues to prioritise time-bound and transparent recruitment. The use of technology and rigorous evaluation methods has not only enhanced the credibility of the process but also reinforced applicants' trust in the system, the release stated.

For 120 posts of Workshop Staff, 73,614 candidates applied, while 3,89,711 candidates submitted applications for the 1,374 Assistant Operator posts.

Despite the overwhelming response, the Board conducted all stages of the recruitment process in a timely, transparent, and systematic manner. After releasing the provisional answer keys and inviting objections, expert panels thoroughly reviewed the concerns. The final answer key was released on June 28, 2024, following inputs from multiple subject experts.

To ensure accuracy in the evaluation process, IIT Kanpur conducted a detailed technical audit of the written exam marks for Assistant Operator recruitment. Candidates found guilty of using unfair means were disqualified from the final selection process, according to the release.

The document verification and physical standard test (DV/PST) phase was conducted from February 8 to 14, 2025. A total of 307 candidates qualified under the Workshop Staff category, while 3,606 candidates advanced in the Assistant Operator category.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) took place from March 7 to 12, 2025. Of those who appeared, 266 candidates for Workshop Staff and 3,303 candidates for Assistant Operator successfully cleared the PET. RFID technology was used to monitor running performance for each candidate during the test to ensure accurate timing.

To maintain transparency throughout the process, the Board implemented several technical measures, including CCTV surveillance at all examination centres, DV/PST venues, and PET locations. Live feeds from these centres were monitored in real-time at both district and Board control rooms.

Recruitment data from the Assistant Operator process also underwent detailed scrutiny at the Board level, with candidates allowed to provide clarifications based on CRL rankings and other available data.
