Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 29 (HBTV): The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, is planning an extensive floral transformation of Prayagraj to create a fragrant and visually captivating atmosphere for the millions of devotees expected to attend Mahakumbh 2025.

Round-the-clock preparations are underway to provide a world-class spiritual experience to visitors, ensuring vibrant aesthetics and top-tier facilities.

According to an official release, this marks the first time large-scale floral arrangements are being implemented across the city. A budget of INR 7.55 crore has been allocated for the initiative. Seasonal flowers will adorn 26,225 pots, while expansive flower beds are being prepared to mesmerize devotees and tourists.

To add to the visual splendor, decorative plants are being placed along the Ganga's banks in the fair area, creating a serene and scenic environment. This initiative is part of a broader cleanliness and beautification campaign aimed at leaving a lasting impression on visitors.

Preparations are in their final stages, with a significant focus on beautification through flowers and ornamental plants. Large-scale orders for floral decorations have been placed with nurseries in Ayodhya and Kashi. The plants are being used to decorate not only the fairgrounds but also prominent locations such as parks, roads, intersections, the airport, and the High Court. Flower pots are being strategically placed along city streets to captivate international tourists.

This year, there is high demand for flowers such as roses, dahlias, jasmine, marigolds, kamini, chandni, chrysanthemums, nerium, and various marigold varieties. Among decorative plants, Erica Palm, Spindle Lily, Peace Lily, Bamboo, Dhan Lakshmi, Vishnu Kamal, and Red Manchira are being prominently used to enhance the city's charm.
