Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 15 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Maa Vindhyavasini Devi Temple in Mirzapur on Wednesday, where he offered prayers.
A day later, on Thursday, the Chief Minister addressed a public meeting at an exhibition highlighting the achievements of his government over the past eight years. Emphasising the role of faith in development, he noted that the Maa Vindhyavasini corridor has already drawn lakhs of visitors, aiding the region’s economic growth.
‘Faith can also become the basis of economic growth. The Maha Kumbh paved the way for this, and I congratulate you. After the development of the corridor of Maa Vindhyavasini, lakhs of devotees have visited it. I thank you all for visiting with reverence,’ he said.
The Chief Minister also spoke about plans to connect key religious sites through improved infrastructure. ‘Ganga Expressway is the largest expressway in the country, from Meerut to Prayagraj. We have decided to conduct a survey to connect Maa Vindhyavasini Dham to Baba Vishwanath Dham. This expressway should be linked with the Purvanchal Expressway,’ he stated.
Highlighting the importance of expressways for economic development, he said: ‘The expressway is the backbone of the economy. With improved infrastructure and better connectivity, there is tremendous potential to advance the economy. Through this eight-year Janpati Mahotsav, you must be seeing the exhibition that is being held, giving you a glimpse of the transformation. You have seen that when you elect and send good representatives, a medical college is built in Mirzapur, a corridor for Maa Vindhyavasini is developed. When graduates receive their degrees, their parents will also take pride. You will receive the blessings of Vindhyavasini.'
The Chief Minister expressed pride in the establishment of a medical college in Mirzapur and other infrastructure initiatives undertaken by his government. He urged the public to continue supporting good governance for the overall development of the state.
Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Health & Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel, was also present at the exhibition, which showcases the key achievements of the government over the last eight years.
