Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 23 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and other cabinet ministers accompanied the CM. The UP CM was seen expressing gratitude to God as he and his ministers participated in this spiritual event.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said the 'joy' of taking the holy dip in Sangam cannot be described.

'The joy cannot be described in words. A joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Cabinet was held here today in Maha Kumbh Prayagraj. Tough decisions have also been taken, and preparations have started for the Ardhakumbh of 2031 and the Mahakumbh of 2025. It is spiritual bliss which, as I said, cannot be expressed in words,' Maurya said.

Before taking the holy dip, CM Yogi and cabinet members fed migratory birds.

This event followed a cabinet meeting chaired by Yogi Adityanath at the Maha Kumbh, where significant schemes for the state were approved. After the meeting, CM Yogi announced the establishment of three medical colleges in Hathras, Kasganj, and Baghpat. Additionally, 62 Industrial Training Institutes and five centres of innovation, invention, and training will be set up across the state.

The cabinet also decided to renew the Uttar Pradesh Aerospace and Defence Employment Policy. To encourage investment in the state, the government will announce new incentives.

'Uttar Pradesh Aerospace and Defence Employment Policy has completed five years. It will be renewed. New incentives have been announced to attract more investment,' Yogi said.

Further, CM Yogi announced the issuance of municipal corporation bonds for Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra.

'Bonds will be issued for these three important municipal corporations: Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra. Until now, bonds have been issued for Lucknow and Ghaziabad with excellent results. This is an important medium for branding the municipal corporation, facilitating development, and providing a new vision,' CM Yogi said.

The establishment of the Prayagraj-Chitrakoot development region, modeled on Lucknow, was also announced. CM Yogi emphasized that the Ganga Expressway would connect Prayagraj to Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Kashi, Chandauli, and the Purvanchal Expressway in Ghazipur.

'This Ganga Expressway will connect Sonbhadra to the National Highway,' Yogi added. (ANI)
