Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], December 7 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 during a meeting with officials at Circuit House, Prayagraj. The grand religious event will begin with the Paush Purnima Snan on January 13, 2025, and conclude with the final bath on Mahashivratri, February 26, 2025.

To enhance devotees’ experience, authorities are constructing special floating jetties at Sangam, enabling safe and comfortable bathing. Changing facilities will also be provided nearby. Additionally, a 100-bed hospital near the Parade Ground in Mahakumbh Nagar is nearing completion, ensuring healthcare services for devotees and saints.

For accommodation, the administration plans to build world-class tents offering modern amenities, categorized into Villa, Maharaja, Swiss Cottage, and Dormitory, with prices ranging from INR 1,500 to INR 35,000 per day. Extra guest charges will range from INR 4,000 to INR 8,000, excluding dormitories.

In a push for eco-friendly travel, the state government announced an online booking system for electric rickshaws and e-autos, launching on December 15, 2024. The initiative aims to minimize the event's carbon footprint as part of the "Green Mahakumbh" project.

With these extensive preparations, Mahakumbh 2025 is set to be a spiritually significant and environmentally sustainable event, welcoming an estimated 45 crore visitors from 75 countries.
