Yogi Adityanath has announced extensive plans to celebrate Chaitra Ramnavami, a significant Hindu festival.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 18 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced extensive plans to celebrate Chaitra Ramnavami, a significant Hindu festival. He has directed officials to organise a 24-hour Akhand Paath of Ramcharitmanas, a revered Hindu scripture, in temples across all districts of the state.

‘Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to organize a 24-hour Akhand Paath of Shri Ramcharitmanas in all the districts on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Ramnavami,’ according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.

This initiative aims to enhance the spiritual and cultural significance of the festival, offering a divine experience for devotees. The continuous recitation will begin on April 5 and conclude on April 6, aligning with the celebrations of Shri Ramnavami. Necessary preparations are underway in temples throughout the state.

‘He has said that the completion of the Akhand Manas Paath, starting from the afternoon of 5 April, should be done on 6 April on the day of Shri Ramnavami at 12 noon with the Surya Tilak of Shri Ram Lalla in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. After the instructions of the Chief Minister, necessary arrangements have been started in the temples in all the districts,’ the statement added.

In addition to the spiritual observance, the Chief Minister has directed officials to ensure uninterrupted 24-hour electricity supply across the state during the Chaitra Navratri period.

‘The Chief Minister directed that uninterrupted 24-hour electricity supply should be provided uniformly in the entire state during Chaitra Navratri,’ the statement noted.

Yogi Adityanath also emphasised the importance of cleanliness and hygiene around temples. He instructed that shops selling eggs, meat, or other non-vegetarian items should not be allowed in the vicinity of temples and reiterated the prohibition of illegal slaughter.

‘He also said that there should not be shops of eggs, meat etc around the temples, and also ensure that there is no illegal slaughtering anywhere,’ the Chief Minister’s Office stated.

The Uttar Pradesh government is taking comprehensive measures to ensure the grand success of the Chaitra Ramnavami celebrations, promoting spirituality, cultural heritage, and communal harmony.
