Maharashtra, India, November 15 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged people to spread the controversial message, 'Batenge toh katenge, ek rahenge toh safe rahenge (divided we perish, safe if we are together),' door to door.
Adityanath is campaigning in Maharashtra for the upcoming Assembly election. Addressing public meetings in Akola, Amravati, and Nagpur districts, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader accused the Congress party of pursuing a 'divide and rule' strategy. He also raised concerns about ‘love jihad’ and ‘vote jihad,’ emphasizing the importance of a 'double engine government.'
'We faced humiliation because we were divided,' Mr. Adityanath said on Tuesday (November 12, 2024), referring to the disputed sites of Kashi, Mathura, and Ayodhya.
'We are still facing humiliation in some parts of India because we remain divided. Politicians who divide us based on caste are betraying the country,' he said, addressing a rally in Akola.
'Take the message of batenge toh katenge, ek rahenge toh safe rahenge door to door in Maharashtra,' he urged the gathering.
