Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reiterated his government's commitment to combating Naxalism, emphasizing that security forces have been fighting valiantly against the menace.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], December 4 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reiterated his government's commitment to combating Naxalism, emphasizing that security forces have been fighting valiantly against the menace since his administration took office.

Highlighting progress in the Bastar region, Sai stated: 'The whole country knows that since we came to power, our security forces are fighting strongly against Naxalism. We are succeeding in establishing peace in Bastar, and review meetings are held from time to time regarding this.'

Speaking to reporters, CM Sai shared that he plans to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday. Shah is scheduled to visit Chhattisgarh on December 13 and 14.

'Today, we are going to Delhi to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is coming to Chhattisgarh on December 13 and 14,' he said.

Sai is expected to provide a detailed briefing on the state's anti-Naxal campaigns and key developmental initiatives during the meeting.

The Chief Minister’s discussion with Shah, scheduled for 9 PM on Wednesday, will focus on anti-Naxal operations and the implementation of central government schemes, especially in the Bastar region. Updates on various development projects in the area will also be shared.

On November 20, CM Sai and Shah previously met to review progress in eradicating Naxalism. Sai expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh would be 'Naxal-free' by March 2026, emphasizing the combined efforts of the state government and security forces.

Sai had earlier commended the state's security forces for their courage and dedication. He noted significant achievements, including the elimination of over 210 Naxalites within 11 months.

'After the formation of the government, the security forces are bravely fighting the Naxalites. Their recent successes are commendable. I spent time at a security camp to understand the conditions in which they live and work, and I salute their efforts. They have succeeded in eliminating more than 210 Naxalites in just 11 months,' he added.
