Salman Khan receives another death threat allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi gang: Mumbai Police

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 5 (HBTV): Actor Salman Khan has allegedly received another death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to Mumbai Police. The threatening message gave Khan two options: to apologize or pay INR 5 crore to stay alive.

The Mumbai Police traffic control room reportedly received the threatening message over WhatsApp late last night, purportedly from a member of the Bishnoi gang. The message stated that if Khan "wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologize or pay INR 5 crore." It further warned, "If he does not do so, we will kill him, our gang is still active," and claimed to be sent on behalf of Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother.

The police confirmed that the message arrived on Monday, and an investigation is underway. A case is currently being registered at the Worli Police Station, and efforts to trace the phone number from which the message originated are ongoing.

This is the second death threat Khan has received in the past week. The earlier threat, also sent to the Mumbai Police Traffic Control, demanded a ransom of INR 2 crore. On October 30, Mumbai Police reported that an unknown person had messaged the control room, threatening serious consequences for Khan if the ransom was not paid.

The Worli Police had registered an offense and began tracking the sender after the initial threat.

Previously, on October 24, Mumbai Police arrested a man in Jamshedpur who had issued a death threat to Khan, demanding INR 5 crore in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Earlier, on October 21, the Mumbai Police received an apology from the same individual who had initially threatened Khan on October 18, claiming the message was sent by mistake. This initial threat was also sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police's control room.

This latest incident follows the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead by three assailants on October 12 near the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, in the Nirmal Nagar area of Mumbai.
