Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 14 (HBTV): Calling the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) a 'terrorist organisation,' Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Husain Dalwai said on Thursday that the RSS teaches violence to people.
'RSS is a terrorist organisation because they teach violence to people. There are four things that RSS teaches kids. The first is how to lie. Second, they teach violence, which is completely wrong. This is Mahatma Gandhi's nation, and divisions are amplified because of this, causing people to live in fear. They want to keep people scared,' Dalwai told ANI.
Saying that he has 'proof' of the RSS being a terrorist organisation that teaches violence, Dalwai added, 'RSS is a terrorist organisation, and I am providing proof of that. The first proof is that Deendayal Upadhyaya, the founder of Janata Party, was murdered. To investigate the murder, a committee was formed under the leadership of Balraj Madhok.'
'For three months, Madhok travelled around, prepared a report, and visited places like Varanasi. But the report has been kept hidden. He also published a book in which he detailed everything about this report,' he said.
Further claiming that the organisation is responsible for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, Dalwai added, 'They killed Gandhi, and today they don't apologise for it. They never admit that it was their fault. They don’t say it today, nor have they ever said it.'
The Congress leader also dismissed any claims that he referred to any Hindu person as a terrorist, saying, 'A Hindu is someone who follows the tradition of India.'
'But these people deliberately misinterpret my statements. I’ve heard their spokespersons say that Husain Dalwai calls Hindus terrorists. That is not true. How can a Hindu be a terrorist?' he told ANI.
'A Hindu is someone who follows the full tradition of India, the tradition of Maharashtra, like Tukaram Maharaj, Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. We believe in Mahatma Phule, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, and Shivaji Maharaj,' he added.
