Pune horror: Loan agent hacked to death for refusing to share internet hotspot

A 47-year-old home loan agent was hacked to death with a billhook by four individuals, including three minors after he declined to share his phone's hotspot with them.

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], September 3 (HBTV): A horrific crime shook the city of Pune when a 47-year-old home loan agent, Vasudeo Kulkarni, was hacked to death with a billhook by four individuals, including three minors after he declined to share his mobile phone's internet hotspot with them. 

According to Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pandhare, the incident occurred around 10:30 pm on Saturday when Kulkarni was out for a walk near his residence. The police have arrested four suspects, including three minors, under sections of murder (BNS 103). 

"The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Saturday night when Kulkarni, a home loan agent, was out for a stroll near his residence. The four accused, under the influence of alcohol, approached him and asked for a mobile hotspot from his phone, When Kulkarni refused, citing they didn't know each other, they attacked him with a billhook, disfiguring his face and inflicting fatal injuries," said Pandhare.

The police have arrested Mayur Bhosale (20) and his three minor accomplices in connection with the case.

The police are working to uncover the circumstances leading up to the brutal murder.
