Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to visit Wayanad in Kerala on Saturday, marking her first visit to the constituency after taking oath as a Member of Parliament.

New Delhi [India], November 30 (HBTV): Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to visit Wayanad in Kerala on Saturday, marking her first visit to the constituency after taking oath as a Member of Parliament. She will be joined by her brother, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

The Gandhis were seen leaving their residences in Delhi earlier in the day. Priyanka is scheduled to address a joint public rally in Wayanad and participate in other public engagements. ‘LoP Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi ji are scheduled to attend a joint public meeting and other public engagements in Wayanad,’ the Congress party posted on X.

The public meeting will be held later today at Mukkam in the Thiruvambadi Assembly constituency in Kozhikode district. Receptions for Priyanka are planned at Karulai in Nilambur, Wandoor, and Edavanna in Eranad at 2.15 pm, 3.30 pm, and 4.30 pm, respectively, as per the Congress schedule.

Priyanka took her oath as an MP on November 28 in the Lok Sabha, holding a copy of the Constitution and dressed in a Kerala Kasavu saree. She won the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 4,10,931 votes, defeating Sathyan Mokeri of the Communist Party of India (CPI).

The Wayanad seat, a Congress stronghold, was previously held by Rahul Gandhi, who vacated it after shifting to contest from Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh during this year’s general elections.
