Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 27 (HBTV): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Prayagraj on December 13 to inaugurate multiple development projects and oversee preparations for the Mahakumbh 2025.
Addressing the media after reviewing ongoing arrangements, CM Yogi assured that all preparations for the grand event would be completed ahead of schedule, by December 10. He emphasized the progress despite delays caused by extended rainfall, affirming that the Mahakumbh, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, will be conducted with grandeur.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the 2025 Mahakumbh will feature an expanded fairground, increasing by 800 hectares compared to the 2019 Kumbh. The number of tents will also double, from 80,000 in 2019 to 1.8 lakh, to accommodate more pilgrims and institutions. Reflecting on its importance, CM Yogi said the event is a significant spiritual gathering for devotees of Sanatan Dharma and Indian traditions.
Infrastructure development in the Kumbh area and Prayagraj is advancing rapidly, with several projects slated for completion by November 30 and others by December 10. Prime Minister Modi will perform Maa Ganga aarti, inaugurate development projects, and review digital initiatives like the Digital Kumbh during his visit.
CM Yogi expressed gratitude for the support received thus far and called for continued collaboration to ensure Prayagraj is presented positively on a national and global scale. He invited devotees worldwide to participate in the divine celebration of Mahakumbh 2025.
