New Delhi [India], November 28 (HBTV): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 22 locations across six states on Thursday as part of an ongoing human trafficking investigation. The operation, launched early in the morning, involved coordination between NIA teams and state police forces to target an organized trafficking network.

The searches focused on individuals and organizations suspected of trafficking vulnerable individuals for illegal purposes, including forced labor and exploitation. According to sources, the case (RC-10/2024/NIA/DLI), taken over by the NIA from local police, involves trafficking men, women, and children across state borders and possibly internationally.

The NIA, which handles cases with links to cross-border syndicates, intensified its efforts after identifying potential connections to a larger organized network.

Human trafficking remains a pressing issue in India, with traffickers often preying on individuals from economically vulnerable communities. Despite stringent laws, these networks continue to exploit gaps in enforcement. The NIA’s raid marks a significant effort to dismantle such operations and rescue victims.
