The Mangalore City Police on Wednesday morning raided Mangalore City Jail Barracks.

Mangaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 25 (HBTV): The Mangalore City Police on Wednesday morning raided Mangalore City Jail Barracks. 

According to information given by Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, the operation began at 4 AM, and involved top officers and approximately 150 personnel.  

Multiple teams were formed to cover all the blocks of the jail simultaneously, with the secrecy about the raid maintained until the last moment to ensure its effectiveness.  

During the search the police seized 25 mobile phones, a Bluetooth device, five earphones, a pen drive, five chargers, a pair of scissors, three cables, and multiple packets of marijuana and other drugs.

Investigation is underway to determine how the items were brought into the jail.
