Natural huts and tents equipped with modern facilities will be constructed in Prayagraj to provide a comfortable stay for devotees attending Mahakumbh 2025.

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], December 5 (HBTV): Natural huts and tents equipped with modern facilities will be constructed in Prayagraj to provide a comfortable stay for devotees attending Mahakumbh 2025.

Additional District Magistrate Vivek Chaturvedi stated that around 2,000 tents will be available for booking to ensure a comfortable stay for visitors.

'Our tent city will be coming; there will be 2,000 tents...people can make the booking for it. Other than that...in other sectors as well, we are bringing a tent city of 400 tents,' said Chaturvedi.

The ADM also mentioned that these accommodations will feature five-star facilities. 'People who are coming here can book the tents and avail all the facilities,' he added.

According to an official release, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (UPSTDC) is spearheading the project in collaboration with six key partners: Aagaman, Kumbh Camp India, Rishikul Kumbh Cottage, Kumbh Village, Kumbh Canvas, and Era.

These tents, constructed to world-class standards, will offer five-star hotel-like amenities and come in four categories: Villa, Maharaja, Swiss Cottage, and Dormitory. Prices will range from INR 1,500 to INR 35,000 per day, with additional charges of INR 4,000 to INR 8,000 for extra guests (excluding dormitories).

This ambitious project is expected to accommodate the 45 crore visitors anticipated from 75 countries. The tent city will operate from January 1 to March 5, 2025, with bookings available on the UPSTDC website or the Mahakumbh app.

The initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision to ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has written to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, requesting land near the Kumbh Mela site to establish a pavilion for Rajasthan. These pavilions aim to provide rest, refreshments, and medical care for the thousands of devotees expected to travel from Rajasthan.
