New Delhi [India], February 26 (HBTV): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday announced that Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth INR 30.77 lakh crore were signed during the two-day Global Investors Summit, assuring that these agreements will be implemented on the ground to help establish both large and ancillary industries in Madhya Pradesh.
Speaking at the summit’s closing ceremony, Shah highlighted that over 200 Indian companies, more than 200 global CEOs, over 20 unicorn founders, and representatives from more than 50 countries participated in the event, showcasing interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh.
He noted that the state tried a new approach by organizing sector-specific investment summits, aiming for overall development. Shah emphasized that this strategy could serve as a model for other states in the future.
The Home Minister stated that Madhya Pradesh is actively working to unlock its industrial, sectoral, and global development potential. He added that the summit has provided a new dimension to the state's growth and aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ‘Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi’ (Development Alongside Heritage).
Shah also underscored that the summit supports PM Modi’s vision of Team India, where the central and state governments collaborate to drive national progress. He noted that the event has successfully attracted both local and global investments and will open new opportunities for skill development among India’s Amrit generation (youth of India’s future).
He further stated that the policies introduced by the Madhya Pradesh government will balance automation with job creation, strengthening India's position as a global manufacturing hub. Expressing confidence in Madhya Pradesh’s future, Shah predicted that the state will emerge as a leading industrial hub in the coming years.
He assured that the state government will continue to uphold transparency, implement sustainable policies, and maintain a proactive administration that fosters investor confidence.
The Invest MP Global Investor Summit (GIS) 2025 was held in Bhopal from February 24-25.
