New Delhi [India], February 4 (HBTV): Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has opened up a 'shop of lies', which will be locked by the people of Delhi on February 8, claimed Haryana Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday.
Addressing a rally in Rani Khera, Mundka area of the national capital in support of BJP candidate Gajender Drall, Haryana CM said that Kejriwal had falsely accused Haryana of poisoning the Yamuna only because he was unable to clean the river while in power.
'He had told people to give him time till 2025 to clean the Yamuna and that if it was not clean, he would not ask for votes. It is 2025 now, and the Yamuna is worse than ever. So, with what face does he come to you? He simply shifted the blame to Haryana, claiming it was poisoning the Yamuna,' CM Saini said.
Calling AAP's 'poisoned Yamuna' claims propaganda, CM Saini said that Arvind Kejriwal has opened a 'shop of lies', which the people of Delhi will shut down by voting AAP out of power in the upcoming Delhi assembly election.
'Kejriwal then spread propaganda, claiming he put up a wall and stopped the poison from entering the Yamuna. If anyone can spread such propaganda, it is Kejriwal. He has opened a shop of lies. On February 8, the people of Delhi will lock his shop of lies,' CM Saini added during the rally.
The CM further claimed that Kejriwal lies solely for his benefit, adding, 'When he made this accusation about poison in the Yamuna, I was also concerned because he accused me too. But I want to tell you, Kejriwal, that you were born on the soil of Haryana, yet you have put a black spot on that soil. If you do not belong to Haryana, how can you belong to Delhi? He lies and will do anything for his benefit.'
Arvind Kejriwal recently stated that the poisonous water in the Yamuna being sent to Delhi has now stopped, with the amount of ammonia in the water decreasing from 7 ppm to 2 ppm.
This comes after Kejriwal, along with Delhi CM Atishi and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, met the Election Commission of India (ECI) after the latter issued a notice to the AAP chief to substantiate his claims of Haryana poisoning the Yamuna.
Delhi will go to polls in a single phase on February 5, while the counting of votes will take place on February 8.
