Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 29 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that law and order in the state has transformed significantly under BJP rule, with Uttar Pradesh, which once witnessed ‘riots,’ now becoming a hub of festive celebrations, attracting devotees from across the country and the world.
The Chief Minister highlighted that festivals in cities like Kashi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Chitrakoot have not only promoted cultural heritage but also created employment opportunities.
Addressing the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (MYUVA) event, CM Yogi said: ‘This is the same Uttar Pradesh where riots used to take place. Today, instead of riots, celebrations are being held in the state. I have seen this festival in the form of Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Kashi, Gorakhpur, and Chitrakoot... these were all festivals that brought together masses of devotees from across the country and the world for two months continuously. New jobs were created for many people. Today, we have all gathered here to connect through the same medium.’
CM Yogi noted that Uttar Pradesh has achieved rapid development in the past decade.
‘In the last ten years, Uttar Pradesh has followed the pace of heritage and development set by PM Modi and has rapidly grown its economy. This is the same place where earlier the youth used to hide their identity, but today, the same youth is setting up their own enterprises. This is the same place where industries were not set up before, but today, new industries are emerging, and our youth are preparing to establish their own businesses,’ the Chief Minister stated.
In a veiled attack on the opposition, CM Yogi said that all barriers hindering Uttar Pradesh’s development have been removed, allowing the state’s youth to secure employment.
‘In the last eight years, all obstacles to Uttar Pradesh’s development have been systematically removed. Today, the youth of UP are securing jobs, becoming self-employed, and attracting investments to the state. Major development projects are underway, and by combining progress and economic growth, the new UP of a new India is working with full commitment—for its farmers, for its people, and for the economic self-reliance of its youth,’ he said.
