Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized Congress and opposition parties over the issue of Minimum Support Price for crops.

New Delhi [India], December 10 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized Congress and opposition parties over the issue of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops. Responding to Congress' claims of supporting farmers and promises of providing MSP, Saini asserted that Congress-led governments in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana had failed to ensure crop procurement at MSP.

'In the last 10 years, we have bought crops at MSP. The Congress governments in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana cannot claim they will purchase crops at 100% MSP. People have seen through their reality. Soon, AAP will also start questioning EVMs because people have rejected them,' Saini stated.

The Haryana Chief Minister’s remarks came amid ongoing farmer protests at the Haryana-Punjab border. Farmers are demanding that both state and Union governments fulfill a 12-point charter, including guaranteed MSP for crops.

Farmer leader Swaran Singh Pandher expressed discontent with both the BJP and the INDIA bloc leaders. 'Be it the INDIA alliance or the ruling BJP government, farmers are dissatisfied with both. Farmers have their own issues, and the youth have separate concerns,' he said.

Pandher also criticized the government's approach to MSP, stating: 'To pacify the anger, they make false promises of MSP. But merely announcing MSP isn’t enough if the crops aren’t procured from mandis. Our demand is for guaranteed crop procurement.'

Saini also highlighted BJP's ongoing membership drive. 'Our campaign to enroll 50 lakh people into BJP is progressing. So far, we have inducted around 33-34 lakh people. Today, I officially became an active party member. People are joining BJP in large numbers because they trust us. Congress has been rejected for making false promises,' he concluded.
