Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired a pre-budget consultation meeting for the fiscal year 2025-26 with stakeholders from the industry and manufacturing sectors in Gurugram.

New Delhi [India], January 7 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired a pre-budget consultation meeting for the fiscal year 2025-26 with stakeholders from the industry and manufacturing sectors in Gurugram on Thursday.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reiterated Haryana's commitment to an inclusive approach to prosperity and progress, emphasizing the pivotal role of industrial institutions in the state's economic development. He expressed confidence in Haryana's contribution to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

Saini assured stakeholders that their key suggestions would be considered in the upcoming budget, which he described as a reflection of collective aspirations and priorities. He stressed the importance of engaging all sections of society to ensure that the needs and aspirations of every citizen of Haryana are addressed.

Highlighting Haryana's progress in agriculture, industry, education infrastructure, and technology, the Chief Minister promised to prioritize strengthening the rural economy, promoting industrial investment, empowering youth through skill development and social welfare, and addressing concerns raised during the consultation. He also assured stakeholders of sympathetic consideration of their proposals for improving health services, public transport in industrial areas, and necessary reforms in industrial policy.

Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajesh Khullar, shared details about a new initiative introduced by the Chief Minister, who also serves as Finance Minister, to gather budget suggestions online. Through the portal https://bamsharyana.nic.in, citizens can submit suggestions across various sectors and sub-sectors. Over 1,000 suggestions have already been received via this platform, he said.

Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue & Disaster Management and Consolidation Department, noted that previous pre-budget consultations had resulted in impactful programs such as Harhit Stores, drone technology, STEM labs, and Super 30.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Principal Secretary of Industries & Commerce Department D. Suresh, and representatives from organizations like NASSCOM, Hero MotoCorp, IMT Manesar Association, Faridabad Industries Association, GIA Gurugram, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Reliance Limited, Rewari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, CREDAI, NAREDCO, and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Minister for Industries and Commerce, Environment, Forests, and Wildlife Rao Narbir Singh, along with Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, also participated. Stakeholders from the industrial and manufacturing sectors shared their suggestions for the upcoming budget. (ANI)
