Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasised the role of faith in fostering economic development.

Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 15 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday emphasised the role of faith in fostering economic development, during his address at an exhibition showcasing his government's achievements over the past eight years.

Discussing the development of religious corridors, the Chief Minister noted that the Maa Vindhyavasini corridor has already attracted lakhs of visitors, contributing significantly to the economic growth of the region.

‘Faith can also become the basis of economic growth. The Maha Kumbh paved the way for it. I congratulate you all. After the development of the corridor of Maa Vindhyavasini, lakhs of devotees have visited it, and I thank you all for visiting with reverence,’ said Yogi Adityanath.

He also highlighted ongoing infrastructure development, particularly the Ganga Expressway. ‘Ganga Expressway is the largest expressway in the country, running from Meerut to Prayagraj. We have decided to conduct a survey to connect Maa Vindhyavasini Dham with Baba Vishwanath Dham. This expressway should also be connected with the Purvanchal Expressway,’ he said.

Underlining the economic benefits of improved infrastructure, he added: ‘The expressway is the backbone of the economy. With strengthened infrastructure and better connectivity, there is tremendous potential for economic advancement. Through this eight-year Janpati Mahotsav, you are witnessing the government’s achievements. You have seen that when you elect and send capable representatives, a medical college is established in Mirzapur, and a corridor for Maa Vindhyavasini is developed. When the new generation completes graduation and receives degrees, their parents will also take pride. You will receive the blessings of Vindhyavasini.'

The Chief Minister expressed pride in the establishment of a medical college in Mirzapur and other infrastructure projects launched under his leadership. He urged the public to continue supporting good governance to ensure the continued development of the state.

An exhibition highlighting the accomplishments of the Yogi government over the last eight years was organised on the occasion. Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Health & Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel, was also present.
