Speaking to the media, Pathak emphasised the government's commitment to the swift implementation of these initiatives, noting that the state has made significant progress in infrastructure development over the past eight years.
‘Today, discussions were held on 14 different proposals, and it is our commitment that we will implement them as soon as possible. Discussions were held on important issues regarding the all-round development of the state,’ Pathak said.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad criticised previous governments, alleging financial mismanagement.
‘The previous governments misused people's money, because of which they were voted out,’ Nishad said.
Earlier on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his support for the One Nation, One Election proposal, asserting that frequent elections lead to instability and obstruct national development.
Addressing a state-level conference on the One Nation, One Election campaign, Adityanath said, ‘Frequent elections in democracy put unnecessary pressure on the public, create political instability, hinder possibilities of development in the country and encourage corruption in public life.’
He added that political stability is crucial for progress.
‘Political stability is the first condition for peace, the first condition for security, and the first condition for development, and for that political stability, there should not be frequent elections,’ he said.
Adityanath further stated that frequent elections impact the GDP and halt the growth rate.
