Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 29 (ANI): The Central Government has approved INR 147.66 crore for tourism development in Chhattisgarh, facilitating the establishment of a Film City and a Cultural Centre in the state. Under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25, the sanctioned amount will fund two major projects: the Chitrotpala Film City in Mana Tuta, Raipur, with an allocation of INR 95.79 crore, and the Tribal and Cultural Convention Centre in Mana Tuta, Raipur, with a budget of INR 51.87 crore, as confirmed by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
These initiatives are expected to enhance the state's tourism infrastructure, promote its cultural heritage on a global scale, and create employment opportunities. The projects aim to position Chhattisgarh prominently on the global tourism map while fostering local development.
