Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on Tuesday cast his vote at a polling booth in Bilaspur for the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation elections 2025.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], February 12 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on Tuesday cast his vote at a polling booth in Bilaspur for the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation elections 2025.

The Deputy CM appealed to the public to turn out in large numbers and celebrate the festival of democracy.

Sao expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) victory in the urban body polls.

'I have cast my vote along with my family. I urge you all to come out of your houses and cast your votes. This is the festival of democracy, and I request everyone to participate in it... BJP is going to win all the seats in the state...' Sao told ANI.

BJP mayoral candidate Meenal Choubey also cast her vote for the urban body elections.

Voting for the Chhattisgarh urban body elections began on Tuesday morning.

Polling for 10 municipal corporations, 49 municipal councils, and 114 nagar panchayats across the state began at 8 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m., with vote counting scheduled for February 15.

There are a total of 44.74 lakh voters, including 22.52 lakh male voters and 22.73 lakh female voters.

The Election Commission has set up a total of 597 polling stations across the state for urban body elections.
