Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 25 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday flagged off buses ferrying BJP workers to the 'Panchteerth' journey.
The Chattisgarh CM was accompained by state assembly speaker Raman Singh.
The Yatra will cover six pligrimages, including Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot and Maihar Mata.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while speaking to ANI said, "Today 600 pilgrims have left for the Panchteerth yatra. We came here to give our best wishes to the pilgrims. After covering the Yatra in six days, the workers will return back".
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Raman Singh said that this is the first instance of such a large number of party workers embarking on a pilgrimage to pray for the state's upliftment.
"Today CM flagged off this Panchteerth journey. This yatra will visit six pilgrimages, Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot & Maihar Mata. They will pray for the growth and development of Chhattisgarh. I think this is the first time such decision in any Vidhan sabha has been taken," Chhattisgarh Assembly speaker Raman Singh told ANI.
