Bagbahar (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 29 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai lauded the state's security forces for their courageous efforts in eliminating over 210 Naxalites within the last 11 months. He praised their bravery and dedication, emphasizing the government's commitment to establishing peace and ensuring the safety of citizens.

'Since the formation of the government, security forces have been fighting Naxalites with great courage. Their recent success in eliminating Naxalites is commendable. I wanted to spend time with the security forces to understand the challenging conditions they face. During my visit to a security camp, I planted a sapling and spent time with the personnel. It was an inspiring experience. I salute them for their success in eliminating more than 210 Naxalites in just 11 months,' CM Sai remarked.

The CM also praised the forces for their recent operation in Sukma district, where they neutralized 10 Naxals on Friday, November 22. He had earlier referred to this operation as a testament to the 'indomitable courage' and 'dedication' of the security forces.

In a post on X, Sai reiterated the government's zero-tolerance policy against Naxalism and highlighted the administration's top priority: ensuring peace, development, and security in the Bastar region. 'Displaying their indomitable courage, the security forces carried out significant action against the Naxalites in Sukma district this morning, eliminating 10 Naxalites in an encounter. This success achieved by our brave soldiers is commendable,' the CM wrote.

On November 20, CM Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi to discuss the progress in combating Naxalism. Sai expressed optimism that the state would become 'Naxal-free' by March 2026.

The CM noted that both the state government and security forces are working relentlessly to uproot Naxalism from Chhattisgarh, aligning with the Union Home Minister's commitment to achieving this goal by 2026.
