Chhattisgarh CM launches scheme to provide INR 10,000 annual aid to landless laborers

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday launched the Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Kalyana Yojana in Raipur.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], January 23 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday launched the Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Kalyana Yojana in Raipur. Under this scheme, more than 5.62 lakh landless agricultural labourers, including Baigas and Gunias, will receive financial assistance of INR 10,000 annually.

An amount of over INR 562 crore was released to the scheme's beneficiaries yesterday. Taking to X, CM Sai expressed that the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Labourer Welfare Scheme would bring prosperity to the state’s landless agricultural labourers.

He further stated that the double-engine government is committed to the welfare of landless agricultural labourers.

In a social media post on X, CM Sai wrote: 'The resolution was fulfilled, another guarantee of Modiji was fulfilled. Today, on the launch of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Labourer Welfare Scheme, prosperity has been spread among more than 5.62 lakh landless agricultural labourers of the state. Our double-engine government is determined for the welfare of landless agricultural labourers.'

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also participated in the Nagar Vikas Ke Sopan program in Raipur and laid the foundation stone for 813 projects worth INR 155.38 crore. Additionally, CM Sai inaugurated 70 projects worth INR 15.25 crore across various urban bodies in the state, including the foundation stone of water supply schemes to be built at a cost of INR 270 crore under Amrit Mission 2.0 in six urban bodies.

Speaking to reporters, CM Sai said that January 20 marked a proud and historic day for the state’s urban bodies.

"This is a proud and historic day for the urban bodies of the state. Today, the foundation stone for works worth INR 270 crore was laid in six urban bodies. In other urban areas, the foundation stone for 813 projects worth INR 155.83 crore was laid. Additionally, 70 projects worth INR 15.85 crore were inaugurated today," CM Sai stated. (ANI)
