Jammu and Kashmir, India, October 9 (HBTV): The body of a Territorial Army soldier who went missing in the Shangus area of south Kashmir's Anantnag has been recovered with gunshot wounds. He was found by state forces in Kokernag forests, sources said.
Sources said that two soldiers, both belonging to Territorial Army, had been missing from the forest area in Anantnag during an anti-terror operation that was launched on October 8.
One of them was reportedly found injured. The injured soldier was rushed to a medical facility for necessary treatment and his condition remains stable, sources said.
Massive search operations were launched in the area and the body of the missing soldier has been recovered. A police officer said that the body of the missing soldier had been located.
Media reports say that the two Territorial Army soldiers were allegedly abducted by terrorists in the forest area of Anantnag. While one of the soldiers managed to escape, the other remained missing, prompting security forces to launch a search operation in the area.
